Description of Other Resources Ms. Penny was a classroom teacher with approximately 10 years experience, and was very motivated to provide rich instruction in all content areas for her students. She was very concerned for her students’ well being and their success in school. She was very welcoming and helpful by allowing me to take over a block of instructional time every week. She was excited about the opportunity to help improve all of her students’ writing and vocabulary and was aware that there was a gap in their progress in these areas in this 4th grade classroom. Other resources were the multiple websites I accessed as part of building my lessons. I also did some research on writing a classroom newspaper as part of this project in order to find an effective way to instruct the class on how a newspaper is constructed with regard to layout and content. |
